What led you into coaching?
I wanted to help people to find and lead brighter lives.
Who do you typically coach and counsel?
I focus on women, particularly career women in China.
How does coaching in Hong Kong compare with other places where you’ve coached?
In comparison with China, my experience is that most coaches in Hong Kong are of high quality and are keen to grow rather than earn money as quickly as possible. Hong Kong also offers a more stable, supportive environment for coaches. Coachees in Hong Kong appear to have a better understanding of the true nature of coaching than those in China.
What is your favourite coaching tool/technique?
The nine IAC masteries. I especially like the skills of ‘perceiving, affirming and expanding the client’s potential’ which empower clients.
What makes you a great coach?
I am client-centred and believe in their talents and ability to solve their problems.
What do you feel passionate about?
I love to experience my clients making shifts and owning their own power.
As a new member of HKICC Management Commmittee, in what direction(s) would you like to see the organisation move?
I would like to see the HKICC develop more in China.
