Meet our Coach Members

Anita Moorjani
Life Coach, MPNLP (ANLP), C.Hyp (ABH)

How long have you been involved with HKICC?
Since 2002. I am one of its founding members.

Who do you coach?
Just about anyone and everyone, as long as they want to be coached. I have an affinity for people who are in a “stuck” state, and feel that they have tried everything, but nothing has worked. I know how they feel, because I’ve been there! And I know first hand that it’s never too late to make transformational life changes.

I also conduct workshops and particularly enjoy motivating large groups of people. I love the energy that’s created in a group setting.

Tell us something unique about your coaching style.
I like to call myself a “Transformational Coach”. My desire is to motivate and empower people from the inside out. I work on the premise that our inner world is our primary reality, and if our internal state is healthy and strong, then our external world will align itself and fall into place as a result.

I assure my clients that nothing is wrong with them, and they do not need to be “fixed” or anything like that. Each and every one of us is whole and complete, and we have the inner power and wisdom to overcome even life's most adverse situations, but it’s just that we don’t always realize it. Circumstances sometimes cause us to forget our true strength and power.  And most people are not aware that their own limiting self concept is what is preventing them from attaining their desired outcome.

In truth, any adverse situations, be they financial, relationship, or health can be turned into infinite opportunities, when understood from the perspective of our internal state. Adverse situations can be turned into strength, which can catapult us much further along our desired path than we could ever have envisioned.

What is your greatest accomplishment?
Oh wow! It would have to be fully reclaiming my health after experiencing end stage (terminal) cancer!

What music are you enjoying these days?
I enjoy a very wide and eclectic collection of music. Most recently, I have been listening to Nora Jones, James Blunt, and the Buddha Bar collection.

How do you have fun?
By spending time with my husband! He really makes me laugh! But I also enjoy walking and hiking in nature, spending time with my dog, listening to music, and reading.

As a leader in HKICC, in what directions would you like to take the organization?
I would love to lead the community towards a more global recognition. With the current advancement of technology, and the advent of equipment like voice over IP and video conferencing, it becomes easier and easier for us to market to a client base that is not limited to Hong Kong. I would like to see us taking advantage of 21st century technology, for the advancement of coaching.

Secondly, I would also like to motivate the coaches in our community to bring their focus back to self. Very often, in our line of work, we are so involved in coaching others that we neglect ourselves. But in order for us to truly be successful motivators, I believe that it is important to first embody our own truth, so that we can be an inspiration to others.
